Medical Study Review & Communications Platform for Lupus Patients
Project Overview
The Progentec team approached us back in 2019 to design a new medical app for their team in order to have their medical staff be able to communicate with users of their patient app.
This specific app is for people who struggle with Lupus, the users are able to track symptoms, flares, communicate with a medical professional via chat or video calls. They are also able to keep up with different quizes and tracking data that is kept in the app and is integrated with a withings smart watch.

Problem Statement
The Progentec team came to us with an idea and wanted to create an application for those with Auto Immune. We were tasked with the organizing content and creating a navigation structure that worked for their users along with creating the flows necessary for users to sign up, communicate with health care professionals and schedule appointments via voice or text.
We also were tasked with creating content for the user to interact with; daily quizzes, modules and educational information that will help them better understand what is going on with Auto Immune.
Solution
Easy Onboarding & Setup
Admin’s or Trainers can setup a Practis Sets, which contain Scenarios & Challenges these are predefined scripts that help employees train on pertinent company content delivery methods and ways of handling problems in accordance with a pre-defined script.
Communication is Key
Providing an in app communication system for users to interact with a medical professional is something that the Progentec Team was adament about using in the app as it would provide the most conclusive insight into patient problems.
In App VOiP Calling
Connecting patients too providers simply through a digital mobile application and creating a two way platform for communication, scheduling and tracking of patients progress.
Custom Surveys
Part of our job was to create an engaging and delightful experience for patients to complete surveys in order for the medical studies to gather data properly.
Conclusion
It has been a year in the making due to Progentec putting the initial launch on pause from June 2019-May 2020, but we were able work with the development team at Progentec and handoff our designs for the finished product.
This was a fun project and one that stretched us and allowed us to think outside the box and really implement a design we were proud of and a user experience that has been tested with users.
